Soil and Weather

Sensors and Actuators

In Australia, we have an extremely volatile climate with a long history of regular droughts. With water resources being scarce, finding the right irrigation solutions has never been more important. At Aquamonix, we have a range of soil and weather sensors to help you minimise water waste and save time and money.

Our Automated Internet Weather Stations (AIWS) include a high-quality weather
sensor and cellular enabled data logger that can measure a wide range of parameters. It processes, stores, and uploads the data to the cloud using the cellular network.

Our profiling soil probes measure soil moisture across a vertical soil profile, typically spanning a range of 30cm to 120cm. Measuring soil moisture at multiple depths is important for optimising irrigation, as it helps characterise the penetration of water throughout the root zone. It also saves you the cost of multiple single-point sensors and the need to excavate a large hole to bury them at the appropriate depths.
