Real-time monitoring of structures during construction

The $620 million Darlington Upgrade Project is another important stage in the delivery of Adelaide’s North South Corridor. Due to the design of this project, one of the key elements is the construction of large retaining walls.

The AIS team here at Aquamonix have been engaged to monitor movement in the retaining walls. This uses
‘Array Technology’ combined with a telemetry system to transfer data in real time to project engineers. This is vital as there is a large amount of excavation underway and can cause movement in the existing retaining wall structures.

The data collected from these sensors is reported via a website in real time, providing our clients with a complete and accurate picture of wall movement.
