Telemex is an end-to-end solution for irrigation water schemes and their clients to oversee their demand management and delivery requirements. It includes the full management of water allocations, titles, transfers and changeovers, as well as meter management, scheme management and automated notifications.
A full overview of the Telemex solution.
Telemex includes a cloud-based CRM and demand management platform as well as customer portal and customer mobile application to facilitate water ordering and notifications with water customers. As shown in the following table, Telemex delivers an integrated solution for a water utility to manage its customers, holdings, network restrictions, billing reporting and temporary transfers. From the customer’s perspective they receive a clear and secure interface to visualise their current and future orders against their available allocations and the ability to create single or repeating water orders.

Telemex Product Roadmap
In addition to Telemex’s secure and easy-to-use functionality to manage your customer’s water allocations and facilitate their water ordering, our latest release in July 2023 will help you to:
The solution continues to improve in response to our client needs, with our future roadmap including smart water metering and field operations. Lastly, Tyeware will bring its unparalleled experience in smart water metering into the platform to not only improve operational efficiency of the water network, but to deliver meaningful benefits to customers such as warnings on possible pump faults.

Telemex Conceptual Model
1. A utility depends on paper systems or Access databases for its critical data and needs to a better and safer way to manage its customer, holding, allocation, transfer and meter data.
Telemex SI is a fully functional, secure and scalable customer relationship management system for irrigation water utilities.
2. A utility is struggling to engage customers to proactively manage their water orders, having to rely on manual phone calls or outdated IVR systems.
Customers can directly visualise and control their water orders through the Telemex SI customer portal or the new Telemex SI mobile application.
3. A utility is locked into an outdated process control solution for demand management and control of pump and other flow devices to deliver water to customers.
Telemex SI is an interoperable demand management system and can give direction to process control systems on demand requirements and pump flow rates through its API layer and other interfaces.
4. A utility needs a single solution to communicate with its customer base via email, SMSes and push notifications.
Telemex SI is a fully featured messaging solution, allowing messaging across multiple channels including push notification to individuals, groups or network segments for such things as network interruptions, water order status and general notices.
5. A water customer with multiple holdings across different network zones needs a central portal to manage all of those holdings, water balances and orders.
Telemex SI presents a summary view of multiple holdings and titles to a customer user in its customer portal and mobile application, allowing the user to rename each with nicknames in order to identification of each holding.
6. A water utility wants to shift to a robust, but modern solution with a proved history of excellent support, and development pathway that includes smart metering, field operations and advanced analytics to improve water efficiency, network costs and customer service.
Tyeware and Telemex Smart Irrigation are Australia’s leading partner in smart water and IoT solutions.

Aquamonix is the owner and manufacturer of Emflux Flow meters, which have been in continuous operation in Australia for over 50 years. The Emflux meters have been sold under various brands, including Combined Instrument, Tyco, and Pentair, with an installed base of over 50,000 metering sites
They are proudly designed and manufactured in Sydney, Australia, by Aquamonix, ensuring local support and backup technical services.
Yes – we have regional sales and technical teams who can advise and assist with any flow metering enquiries or technical support. We provide regular training sessions in our Sydney factory and make our Engineering and production teams available to support product and project enquiries.
Our meters are designed and manufactured in Australia, backed by local technical support, field training, and a comprehensive warranty. While our products may not be the lowest-priced compared to some imported alternatives, they are built for reliability in demanding environments, where performance is expected to last for over 20 years.
Simply put, the appeal of a lower upfront cost can be fleeting, but the consequences of poor quality often endure.
We have supplied Emflux electromagnetic flow meters to major irrigation schemes, water authorities, and industrial applications across Australia for over 45 years. Our clients include Murrumbidgee Irrigation and Murray Irrigation (NSW), Sunwater (QLD), Goulburn-Murray Water, Southern Rural Water, and Lower Murray Water (VIC), as well as the Ord River Scheme and Harvey Water (WA), and CIT and RIT (SA). We also work with leading industrial and resource companies such as SANTOS, Shell, BHP, and Rio Tinto.
We generally hold a stock of smaller-sized meters and can deliver within a few weeks. Larger units or custom meters are built to order but can still be delivered within a 5-8 week time frame.
Our quotes can usually provide full packaging and road transport costs to your site, so you do not have to worry about any third-party freight companies or additional costs.
All our meters come with a full 12-month warranty to cover materials and workmanship. If there is ever an issue, we can generally provide replacement units or can perform local repairs to quickly restore remote sites to full operation.
The Emflux range of electromagnetic flowmeters includes flanged meters in a steel or plastic body in sizes from 50mm to 1200mm. We also provide a range of Pit Mount or End Insert Meters in sizes from 150mm to 1500mm. All meters can be fitted with our solar-powered meters. Transmitter unit for remote application, or our Mains/24V unit for industrial or mining applications.
Aquamonix flowmeters use the electromagnetic principle (Faraday’s Law of Induction) to measure flow. There are no moving parts, which means minimal maintenance and no obstruction to flow — ideal for dirty or silt-laden water.
Aquamonix EMFLUX flowmeters are typically calibrated and tested in our NATA Flow Rig to achieve better than ±0.5% accuracy.
Yes. All Aquamonix electromagnetic flowmeters are pattern approved to AS/NZS standards (e.g., AS4747:2013), suitable for non-urban water metering and irrigation compliance requirements.
Absolutely — they’re designed for irrigation off-takes, non-urban water supply, wastewater treatment, mining, and urban water applications. Pattern approval makes them suitable for billing or regulatory compliance where required.
Aquamonix meters cover a wide range of diameters (from DN50 up to DN1500) and are capable of accurate measurement across low-flow to high-velocity conditions (typical operational range up to ~10 m/s).
Unlike mechanical meters, Aquamonix electromagnetic meters require very little maintenance due to no moving parts. Routine checks are recommended, and a battery change every ~5 years for battery-powered transmitters is typical.
