Modbus Communications Module for conventional wire solenoid control
This is the module is compatible with Tonick customer systems who currently utilize the BT3 for two-wire, this module will turn on local outputs (24VAC) instead of sending a signal via a two wire path.
Features
The 16TO – IO Module is a Modbus RTU Slave device, it can be controlled by any Modbus RTU Master device. Common devices include controllers, PLC’s or any computer based system.
A Modbus command is sent to the IO Module to operate an output, the module will then apply 28VAC power to the output and open the common line relay. This provides power to activate the solenoid wired into the output.
The power is fed to the output via an internal current resistor the IO Module converts this signal to a discrete value and stores the mA value in a Modbus holding register for the PLC/RTU to retrieve.
Can be integrated into any Modbus master device.
While designed for irrigation it can be used for any device which is 24VAC powered and we need feedback on successful operation
