Aquamonix delivers for Salisbury Council

The City of Salisbury is a local government area that is located on the northern fringes of Adelaide.  The Council has a vision to be a prosperous, sustainable and liveable city.  As part of their vision for sustainability, they have implemented innovative storm water re-use schemes, MAR scheme.

Greenspan are supplying water quality instrumentation for their MAR (Managed Aquifer Recharge) program that involves 63 recharge and pumping sites in total.

Urban storm water is filtered through wetlands and injected into an aquifer for later use in irrigation of Ovals, Parks and Gardens or industrial client applications.

Measuring salinity is of paramount importance and this is where the Greenspan EC250 comes into its own with its long term deployable robust toroidal measure of Electrical Conductivity .

Greenspan have worked with the City of Salisbury to customise their EC250 for this application.

A 2 inch BSP collar has been fitted to the sensor to enable its insertion as shown in the pump station pipework.

Secondly, a digital display screen is fitted to the control panel so onsite calibration can be easily carried out.

The 4 – 20 mA outputs of these sensors feed into the local PLC which is connected to SCADA.
