Gold Coast Flooded Road Signage Project

Due to dangerous conditions created during and after rainfall events, Gold Coast City Council engaged the AIS team to design, supply and install various Integrated Flooded Road Signs on Clagiraba Road in the Gold Coast hinterland.

These signs will perform an important role not only to keep residents informed of road conditions, but also aid emergency services during weather events and increase situational awareness.

To ensure full integration of all the signs, a central communications station has been installed on site. This raised platform design keeps the instrumentation and telemetry equipment high and dry during rain events ensuring the station and signs all communicate successfully when required. Cameras have also been added to the station for visual monitoring.

Project Manager Mick Hann, lead the AIS team on this successful project.
