I500 achieves NMI pattern approval

Aquamonix has achieved compliance for our I500 electromagnetic flowmeter with the new irrigation utility metering standards and obtained the National Measurement Institute’s pattern approval. The approval was granted in full on 12th December 2015.

The meters were tested under harsh conditions including high and low temperature (-20°C to +50°C), electric discharge, electromagnetic interference, and submersion in water to various depths, in addition to the requirement to maintain accuracy when the flow is disrupted by swirl and disturbance.  Our flowmeter is the only meter in the industry to be submitted to and passed this rigorous testing under Australian conditions at the Manly Hydraulics Laboratory.

Pattern approval of these meters and compliance with Australian Standard AS4747, ensures that users of approved meters meet ongoing obligations for water meters in accordance with the National Framework for Non-urban Water Metering Policy Paper (2008).
