In Dec 2016, Hay Private Irrigation District (PID) engaged Aquamonix to design, supply and commission a fully automated water delivery system for the district’s 112 farm water outlet points. The system uses intelligent water ordering and billing software which integrates with a range of Aquamonix manufactured equipment. Upon completion, the system will ultimately help our customer to deliver water in a modern and efficient manner. Aquamonix have just recently completed manufacture of a DN900 custom flowmeter for supply to a specialty mineral mine in Africa. The meter is designed for measurement of the flow of a very acidic slurry and hence it carries a 20 mm thick linatex lining. This customer continues to return to Aquamonix for the replacement of these meters because we are able to supply in a short timeframe and our solution offers the best value and life for their application. A recent partnership between Aquamonix, Real Skills Education and the University of New South Wales has given full voice to our values of Collaboration and Simplicity. The project was devised by Aquamonix to assist a customer in far North Queensland. Aquamonix has just updated and upgraded our brochure for the i500 flowmeter transmitter. The i500 Electromagnetic Flowmeter is a no compromises, high accuracy, high capability, bullet-proof water and wastewater measurement device. It complies with the new Australian Standard AS/NZS 4747:2013 – Meters for Non-Urban Water Supply. It is a fully pattern approved instrument from DN50 to DN600. The meter will meet the demanding requirements for accurate metering of irrigation supplies but is equally at home in other water supply applications including urban water (recycled water, distribution network and revenue monitoring), mining and environmental monitoring. Aquamonix has achieved compliance for our I500 electromagnetic flowmeter with the new irrigation utility metering standards and obtained the National Measurement Institute’s pattern approval. The approval was granted in full on 12th December 2015. The meters were tested under harsh conditions including high and low temperature (-20°C to +50°C), electric discharge, electromagnetic interference, and submersion in water to various depths, in addition to the requirement to maintain accuracy when the flow is disrupted by swirl and disturbance. Our flowmeter is the only meter in the industry to be submitted to and passed this rigorous testing under Australian conditions at the Manly Hydraulics Laboratory.
